This is in an attempt to get Ivan the nerd Cruz to start his blog.

At school working on our typography project late in the library, we discover that Ivan carries the craziest things in his backpack.

The project we were working on was a type poster/presentation for the typeface Clarendon.

So Kevin Michael’s album actually came out October last year (2007). However I think his stuff is great and just wanna show some more support. This guy is young and entered the scene with his single “It Don’t Make Any Difference to Me” featuring none other than the infamous Wyclef Jean. Not impressed yet? The ablum also includes Lupe Fiasco and even the legenday Q-tip. From his voice to his songs Kevin Michael stays true to the roots of R&B soul, this kid is R&B.

My favorite tracks are #1 - We All Want the Same Thing - (with Lupe Fiasco), #2 - It Don’t Make Any Difference to Me - (with Wyclef Jean), #3 - Can’t Get Enuff - (with Shorty Da Kid), #7 - Ain’t Got You, and #12 - Too Blessed - (with Q-Tip). Expect to hear his name a lot more in the future.

From Ania’s Type 2 class! With the help of thoughtful help and critiques from Jo I managed to pull of my first few and I think they came out pretty decent. Project using type for a Jurassic 5 album named Feedback. Photoshop was only used for touching up, everything else is by hand =D, scanner and camera and a bunch of other random materials to get certain effects. Basically anything I could find on my desk, kitchen and garage. FUN.

So… when I do things for school I tend to do it all on one illustrator file, variation after variation stacked next to each other. This was for Communication Design 2 with Ramone. All the stuff you see is my letterhead, business cards, and envelopes.  I just found it funny that I structure files like this, makes me seem like I am organized when I am actually 99% opposite of that. Anyways it is more of sneak peek.. maybe… maybe I’ll post them up here when I finish…maybe…
